Miss World is an event where representatives from across the globe come together, and fashion becomes one of the ways to express their personality, culture, and the country they represent. This year, Poland was represented by Maja Todd – Miss Polonia 2025, who also brought a unique gown selected during her visit to the Lou showroom.
For our brand, the opportunity to accompany Maja in her preparations for Miss World 2026 was a great honour. Her choice was particularly meaningful to us because the values we aim to express through Lou designs – femininity, elegance, confidence, and Polish design – were able to take their place on an international stage.
Maja Todd – Miss Polonia 2025 and Poland’s Representative at Miss World
Maja Todd was crowned Miss Polonia in June 2025. A student at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics, she combines her pageant-related activities with education, music, and social engagement.
Winning the Miss Polonia title also gave her the opportunity to represent Poland at Miss World 2026. This year’s competition took place in Vietnam and culminated in the grand final held on 5 September in Nha Trang. The event brought together 111 representatives from different parts of the world.
Preparing for such an event involves much more than the final itself. The multi-week programme includes meetings, official events, competition activities, presentations, and appearances in front of audiences and the media. Each of these moments requires a carefully considered image, which is why a well-planned wardrobe is an important part of the preparation process.
And this is where Lou became part of Maja’s journey to Vietnam.
Maja Todd’s Visit to the Lou Showroom
Before travelling to Miss World, Maja Todd visited the Lou showroom to select a gown suitable for an event of international importance.
The meeting was an opportunity to try on different designs and find a style that suited both the character of the event and Maja’s personal aesthetic. The decision was not only about making an impression. Proportions, the way the gown sat on the figure, comfort, and how it looked in motion were equally important.
At Lou, we have always believed that a gown should never overshadow the woman wearing it. A well-chosen design should highlight her personality, boost her confidence, and allow her to feel comfortable – even when all eyes are on her.
Maja’s choice reflected this philosophy perfectly.
A Lou Gown on the International Stage
Miss World is not only a competition but also a major international media event. For the contestants, every look becomes part of a broader story about how they want to present themselves and their country.
That is why Maja’s decision to choose a design by a Polish brand was especially meaningful to us.
For years, Lou has been creating elegant dresses for moments worth remembering – from family celebrations and weddings to galas, premieres, and special evening events. This time, one of our designs accompanied Poland’s representative during one of the world’s most recognisable pageants.
Moments like this show that Polish fashion can be present wherever quality, confident femininity, and distinctive style matter.
Elegance, Femininity, and Polish Design – the Values Behind Lou
At Lou, we believe fashion should give women confidence rather than define them. When creating new collections, we look for a balance between current trends and elegance that lasts beyond a single season.
Feminine silhouettes, carefully refined proportions, and details that can transform an entire look are at the heart of our designs. Evening dresses hold a particularly important place in our collections because, on special occasions, clothing often becomes part of an important memory.
Maja Todd’s visit to our showroom had exactly this kind of significance for us. She was not choosing an outfit for just another event, but for a journey during which she would represent Poland in front of an international audience.
Knowing that she trusted Lou at one of the most important moments of her journey so far is a source of great pride for our entire team.
Maja Todd’s Preparations for Miss World 2026
The road to the Miss World final began long before Maja stepped onto the stage in Vietnam. The competition was preceded by a multi-week programme during which contestants took part in various stages of the event and presented their talents and social initiatives.
Maja used this opportunity not only to represent Poland but also to draw attention to the values and causes that matter to her.
One of the projects connected with her social activity is Moving with Maja – an initiative promoting physical activity and social integration among older people through movement, dance, and time spent together. The project shows that the role of a modern beauty queen goes far beyond appearing on stage – it can also involve using visibility and influence to support specific communities.
This approach aligns closely with the “Beauty with a Purpose” philosophy that has long been associated with Miss World and highlights the social engagement of its contestants.
Polish Design in Vietnam
The presence of a Lou design in Maja’s wardrobe also carried symbolic meaning for us. Poland’s representative appeared at an international event while simultaneously showcasing the potential of Polish fashion.
Polish design is increasingly moving beyond a local context. Women are looking for brands that combine contemporary aesthetics, femininity, and a distinctive character – whether they need an outfit for a wedding, an important celebration, or an international gala.
Lou has been growing with exactly this idea in mind. We want to create clothing that helps a woman walk into a room and feel that she is exactly where she belongs.
Maja did just that on the Miss World stage.
Miss World 2026 – Competition Results
The grand final of Miss World 2026 took place on 5 September in Nha Trang, Vietnam. A total of 111 representatives competed for the crown. The winner was Joheirry Mola of the Dominican Republic, while Elisabeth Reynés of Spain was named First Runner-Up and Taanusiya Chetty of Malaysia became Second Runner-Up.
Maja Todd advanced to the Top 40 contestants in the competition, while also placing among the Top 10 representatives from Europe. Although she did not progress to the Top 20, reaching the Top 40 out of 111 contestants was an important culmination of months of preparation.
For us, it was equally meaningful that throughout her Miss World journey, Maja chose a Polish brand and allowed Lou to become part of that story.
The Trust of Miss Polonia 2025 – a Special Honour for Lou
There are designs we remember not only because of their form, but also because of the moments they become part of.
The gown selected by Maja Todd belongs to exactly that category.
The opportunity to welcome Miss Polonia 2025 to the Lou showroom, be part of the process of choosing her look, and later watch her represent Poland at Miss World 2026 was a unique experience for our brand.
Above all, however, we see it as a gesture of trust.
We would like to thank Maja for choosing Lou and for allowing Polish design to accompany her during one of the most important experiences of her career so far.
Maja, thank you for your trust. We are proud to have been part of your journey from Poland to the Miss World 2026 stage.
